The Most Excruciating Pain Ever

My breasts are killing me. It makes me realize why I usually end up bottle feeding. I get to the point where I can't take the pain anymore then give the kid a bottle of formula to give my breasts "a break". Then I"m producing less milk and breast feeding is hurting more. One bottle becomes two becomes three. "It hurts to breast feed, why bother?" or "At least I held out for the first few days." Well, this time I'm in it for the long haul. I can stand child birth then I can hack the breastfeeding... Right?

You totally can hack it. And it hurts for about 4 weeks . . . but then you can leave the house on a whim without worrying about remembering formula. And you can sleep through middle-of-the-night feedings. And it's free. And Keira gets all those extra cuddles-- no propped bottles for her! And the formula industry wants you to fail so that they can make more money-- they don't give a crap about Keira, because if they did, they would simply provide the best nutrition they could develop, instead of 16 types including Supreme & DHA, with this brainwashing advertisments that let you know that if your baby doesn't have the Supreme or DHA then YOU ARE FAILING THEM, so hand over the extra dollars, Toots.

(I hate the formula industry. I realize we live in a capitalist society, but I wish they'd keep thier profit-mongering away from the newborns. /end rant )
